How You Can Help Our
Coalition

Birdies
for Charity
The
Birdies for Charity fundraising program is sponsored by the Southern
Farm Bureau Classic golf tournament and Century Club Charities.

Kim Hall, Patty Mekus, and Anne Nelson
attend the Birdies for Charity Kickoff
Proceeds
from this year’s campaign will help provide youth drug prevention
programs in
Warren
County
. The programs and activities will strengthen social bonding,
develop skills that permit children and adolescents to perform
successfully without violating acceptable standards of behavior, and
provide children and adolescents with clear rules against alcohol
and other drug use. Expected outcomes are increased graduation
rates, decreased school dropout rates, reduction of rates of
substance abuse in the community and stronger community policies so
that new social norms are supported.
We
are asking our friends to play a role in achieving a drug-free
community by making a pledge through Birdies for Charity. As an
added incentive to donors, each person who makes a pledge to Birdies
for Charity will have the opportunity to guess the number of birdies
(a birdie is a score of one stroke less that par for any golf hole)
made during the 2006 Southern Farm Bureau Classic. Prizes will be
drawn for those who guess the correct number.
